Welcome to Werneth School.

Werneth is a vibrant and inclusive 11-16 comprehensive school community serving Bredbury, Brinnington, Romiley, Woodley and beyond on the outskirts of Stockport.

It is my absolute pleasure to collaborate with our students, staff and families as Headteacher.

Werneth has modern state of the art facilities set in an impressive campus - facilitating 21st Century learning. We are a hard-working and a values-driven school with a culture of high expectations and no excuses. Every student at Werneth is known, understood and valued, and together with the promise of the right support and challenge at the right time, we transform lives and ensure that all our students succeed, take their place in the world, and thrive as global citizens. Children only get one childhood, and it is our professional responsibility to make sure that success in that childhood is not based on luck or chance.

Across the school we have a talented cadre of expert staff passionate about delivering an ambitious curriculum and ensuring equality of opportunity and excellence for all our students and their families.

Werneth School is a proud Education Learning Trust school. The Education Learning Trust is a multi-academy family of five schools based across Stockport. Together we provide an education for over 4000 young people. All our schools are committed to providing an education where we collaborate, empower and so achieve. Leaders across the schools work together to drive improvement.
