YEAR 10
The Year 10 Internal Exams will take place from Mon 24th April until Fri 5th May. These are the first true exam practice under GCSE exam conditions ahead of the 2024 GCSE exams next summer. Therefore we set high expectations of behaviour during the exams which are outlined below.
Arrangements
First week of exams: These take place in the Sports Hall
Early Morning exams: Students get their mark from form.Then make their way to the Sports Hall. Enter the Sports Hall via the Fire Exit that leads to the yard.
Period 3 Exams: Students head straight to the Sports Hall at the end of break. Enter via the fire-exit at the back of the Sports Hall.
Bags will put against the wall at the outer edge of the Hall. No bags at desks.
Only clear pencil cases are allowed.
Only clear drinks bottles are allowed. No labels.
Second week of exams: These take place in the Main Hall.
Early Morning exams: Students get their mark in from. Then make their way to the Main Hall.
Period 3 Exams: Students head to the Main Hall straight after break.
Bags will put into the cupboards at the Hall entrance. No bags at desks.
Only clear pencil cases are allowed.
Only clear drinks bottles are allowed. No labels.
Expectations
You must be on time for all your examinations.
Possession of a mobile phone or other unauthorised material is
not allowed even if you do not intend to use it. You will be
subject to penalty and possible disqualification from the
exam/qualification.
No mobile phones allowed. No watches allowed. (No watches of ANY kind)
You must not talk to, attempt to communicate with or disturb
other candidates once you have entered the examination room.
You must follow the instructions of the invigilator.
You must not become involved in any unfair or dishonest practice
in any part of the examination.
If you are confused about anything, only speak to an invigilator.
Instances of poor behaviour:
Parents will be contacted.
Students who disrupt an exam and need to be moved will:
Receive a detention the next day.
Will complete their exam at this detention.
Subject Teachers have set homework activities for your child to follow leading up to their exams. We appreciate your support in ensuring that your child engages with the revision that has been set for these exams.
