Dear Parents/Carers,
I am writing to let you know about our upcoming Transition events here at Werneth school.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming your child to our Transition Day on the 6th July. On the day students will need to:
- Arrive at Werneth for 8.30am onto the tennis courts
- Come straight to Werneth School
- Wear their Primary school uniform.
- Bring a snack for break time & a bottle of water.
- Bring a packed lunch (if you have free school meals Werneth will provide this)
Your child will spend a day just like a student at Werneth School, this includes moving around to different lessons and spending time with their new form tutor.
Please ensure your child is adequately prepared for any hot weather with sun cream and a drink. Your child can refill their water bottle throughout the day, no fizzy/energy drinks are allowed.
Students travelling from Brinnington may use the Yellow W1 bus from Manor Rd at 7.22am. They may also use it for the return journey. They will not be charged on this occasion.
Your child will finish at 3.00pm
We will also be holding a Transition Evening event for parents and carers. Your child is welcome to attend with you.
The evening is also on July 6th. It starts at 5pm and is expected to last just over an hour. During the evening you will have a chance to meet with your child's form tutor and hear talks from the leadership team as well as seeing a celebration video of your child’s day at Werneth.
