Dear Parent/Carer,
Year 7 - Launch for Success Evening
I am writing to invite you to a ‘Launch for Success’ evening on Thursday 17h October 2022 from 3.30 pm - 5 pm. This is an excellent opportunity to meet your child’s Form Teacher and attend core subject workshops that will support and guide your child through secondary education. Whilst this event is for parent and carers - we actively encourage families to attend particularly where there are child care responsibilities
The format of the evening will be as follows:
- 3.30 pm Year 7 Form Tutors will be holding a short introductory talk for parents and will be available for questions.
- 4.00 pm there will be a presentation in the main hall where you will receive information about your child's five year learning journey, reports and how we track progress.
- Maths, English and Science presentations will take place in classrooms from 4:15 until 5.00 pm, talking you through how to support your child through secondary school in each subject.
If you cannot make it into school at 3:30 pm you are welcome to attend the later sessions. The Year 7 family services team will be available all evening to answer any questions you may have.
