Dear Families
The safety of our students, staff, families and visitors is paramount and therefore it has become necessary to modify our arrival and departure arrangements.
From Monday 14th October 2024:
The school gate will be closed from 08:30 until 15:20 each day to secure the school site and safeguard students. This arrangement will align Werneth to other schools, locally and nationally, in terms of access. Site staff will be present to maintain this.
Pedestrian access at the start and end of the day for students and those on bicycles will be through the pedestrian entrance near where the school buses arrive and depart each day. Duty staff will be present from 08.30 to meet and greet students on their arrival. Students on bicycles will be asked to dismount as they enter and leave school.
If your child arrives and leaves the school by car, we would ask you to organise a suitably safe drop off and pick up point near to the school site – being both considerate to our neighbours and fully compliant with the Highway Code.
Families attending the school for meetings or to collect students for medical appointments will be required to press the buzzer on the intercom at the school gate.
Families and students requiring access arrangements will be provided with the necessary reasonable adjustments in discussion with myself.
Supervised Breakfast Club is accessible to students from 08.00 when the school building opens for students.
